We’ll be playing blitz chess and each player gets be 5 minutes (or 3 minutes for the brave who want to play bullet chess). After the game (win or lose)\, it’s time to play again. \nSantiago Tenesaca\, who recently sat down with me for a community spotlight interview to talk about chess and life\, is hosting! Everyone is welcome\, all ages and all skill levels. Haven’t tried blitz? DESCRIPTION:McMinnville Chess Club is partnering with CreativiTEE for a fun and collaborative T-shirt creation activity for the entire family. We’ll be at Mac Market in CreativiTEE’s space at the Airstream trailer on Saturday\, October 4th from 12-1:30pm and making custom T-shirts! (That’s right\, we’re having a T-party!) \nThis event is free to attend\, but to make and take home a custom T-shirt or hoodie (sizes toddler through adult)\, prices are as marked. All proceeds go to support CreativiTEE\, our newest and funnest T-shirt personalized apparel shop in town! \nNo prior experience is necessary\, and attendees can either make new stencils for their T-shirt designs or use any of the stencils that are provided. CreativiTEE will be providing several chess-themed stencils\, too. \nDiscounted scholarships are available\, and to apply for a scholarship please be sure to get a ticket to this event below. \nWe won’t be playing chess at this event\, but this event is also on the same day as our regular club meeting at Harvest Fresh Grocery & Deli from 2-4pm. Join us for a day of crafty fun at CreativiTEE and then chess in the afternoon at Harvest Fresh! \nHOW IT WORKS\n\nFirst\, pick out a T-shirt or hoodie in your favorite style\, color\, and size.\nThen start designing! You’ll have access to ink scraps\, stencils\, other tools\, and guidance from CreativiTEE’s expert staff to make your dream design come true.
