McMinnville Public Library has monthly event for the wonderful youth in our community and beyond each month called Teen Night, and we were there for the first time on May 1 with a bunch of chess sets and volunteers. There were plenty of games and fun to be had, and in May there were chess sets, card games, VR headsets, and PC gaming to go around.

Good news: we’ve been invited back! Many thanks to Christefano Reyes, Roger Mitchell and Mike Terrill for co-hosting in May and making this a big success, and, of course, we couldn’t do this without the McMinnville Public Library, which has procured a number of chess sets for this event.

In June, we’re meeting on June 5, 2026 from 6-8pm at the McMinnville Public Library:
