Chess is a great activity for students because it helps them think critically, solve problems, and make smart decisions. It improves focus, patience, and self-discipline, while teaching kids how to handle both wins and losses.
Best of all, scholastic chess gives students a fun way to connect with others and build self-confidence.
McMinnville Chess Club members and volunteers have been helping build and grow scholastic chess in McMinnville since 2024. If you would like help starting a chess club at your school or have chess activities at your youth-focused organization, Contact us!
