McMinnville Chess Club is for all ages and skill levels, and our members enjoy open play, timed and untimed games, opportunities for chess study and lessons, and the nicest chess club players you’ll ever meet in town.
We meet every Monday from 4-7pm at Harvest Fresh, and our members and guests are invited to enjoy the game we love as well as Harvest Fresh’s environmentally friendly cleaning products, herbs, supplements, soups, a wide assortment of deli selections, party trays, organic pet foods and products, many bulk items, and more. Shop local and we all win!
We’ll have club-provided sets and clocks (first-come, first-served) and the McMinnville Chess Library, a curated collection of books, magazines, and equipment available to our members to check out and take home to aid their journey in the game that we love. Guests are welcome to browse the Chess Library, and we welcome donations to the library at our events.
(Check out our calendar of events! We also meet every Wednesday evening at Mac Market and on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays at The Velvet Monkey Tea Shop.)
This event is free to members and guests alike, and no ticket or RSVP is necessary. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Many thanks to Harvest Fresh for having us! Please support our venue by making a purchase.
Harvest Fresh is ADA-accessible, sobriety-friendly, and parking is available in the back parking lot. Please contact an organizer in advance of this event so that we can work to accommodate your needs.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a chess board and clock (if you have them). The more boards there are, the more people can play. Chess clocks are welcome but not necessary. The “Chess Clock by Chess.com” app is good to use in a pinch.
Members are asked to enjoy responsibly and to keep open containers away from game boards and equipment, bring their own chess clocks and boards (BYOB!), and are expected to agree to our Community Code of Conduct for a fun, supportive space for everyone.
Thanks so much, and we look forward to seeing you at our event!
